Temps in the 90's F today, with crushing humidity levels - dashed out to the pet store for more rubber balls - Stella is going through a 'chase the bouncy ball' phase. Otherwise we're inside with the AC on!

Wasn't too bad here today. Went outside several times today, and took Norton for a walk around 7PM.

Incredibly STEAMY this week - scattered light showers - just enough to turn the atmosphere into a sauna! Summer is definitely back - with a vengeance!

Got a good soaking tonight and now the mosquitoes are out in force. The other night my wife mentioned that the mosquito truck was going through the neighborhood. Strange, but I hadn't seen mosquitoes all summer until she said that. I assumed when my wife mentioned the mosquito truck she was talking about the one that sprays a poisonous mist to kill them. I realize now she must have been talking about the truck that delivers them to areas where they are lacking. I didn't even know we had a mosquito delivery truck. Whose idea was that?

Today they are staying south of us ... but the humidity is still in unimaginable levels ... my yard is blanketed with toadstools!

No rain, but humid and warm, bordering on hot. It's getting very cool at night, which just makes it feel damper.

No rain here yet, but it's in the forecast. I went onside with Norton around 8:30 and it felt really nice outside. I was even thinking of reading in the gazebo, had not some MobileRead/Book Club duties needed my attention. When I went out a second time an hour later the picture had changed completely. It's already getting hot, and if the humidity was any thicker we could all go swimming in it.

Two nights ago, after the monsoon rains had stopped, I stepped out onto the back porch - and found a cloud of white fog had gathered - apparently the air trapped under the porch roof had become so super-saturated with moisture it had condensed and formed a personal fog cloud on the porch! Now that's humid!

The humidity was so thick here once that we had to cut our way through it with an ax.

It was warm and sunny through the day, but we've got lightning, thunder and torrential rain right now.
