Welcome to the forum...

Is it a WiFi only Kindle or a Kindle with WiFi + 3G? What steps have you tried in getting it to connect? Have you tried doing a reset?

Unless your router has too many active devices using its bandwidth (I believe the most common limit is 10), you should have no problem connecting another Kindle to the network. Try restarting the router, and only connect the new Kindle to the internet, to see if it works.

If that doesn't work, it probably is a manufacturing defect. Try contacting Kindle customer support; they will be happy to solve your problem.
