Kindle android app and Google market
How do i fix:
50 % solved read books from device it doesnt recognize them (only downloaded or bought books work, not even placing the in the kindle folder works), but can you change kindle directory so it reads books from from sd card, 3.5.1 supports pdf change highlight color to to something more darker or gray, it only shows up when i have black background but highlights are white key mapping worked as its written in the guide, problem keymapping is global so keys work in kindle app but they dont work home screen and other application. SOLVED - Settings manage application set download location internal sd card and use froyo and use rupor firmware it has app2sd which you have to use when u install app from market I installed google market everything work but when it every times says Download was unsuccessful, pleas try again P.S - will clean text later when all problems all solved. Thanks. Last edited by enitro; 05-18-2012 at 08:01 PM. Reason: update |

I haven't rooted my PRS-T1 so I'm afraid this info may not be helpful. I have the Kindle for Android app v3.5.1.1 on my smartphone. Sideloaded mobis are recognized OK if I store them in directory /mnt/sdcard/kindle on the phone.

It might be that your data partition does not have enough space for downloading.
there are 3 options: free space on data partition, try rupors root package with apps2sd fix or repartition everything. the latter one is very dangerous. you will find infos on that in the wiki and in the developers subforum. just to be sure you know: google market won't work out of the box, you have to install 2 more apks before that. there are complete packages will all 3 apks linked in the wiki: https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/PRST...rket_Procedure I went with the froyo version. UPDATED FIRST POST
So i used apktool to decompile kindle app and i changed some colors and pictures and compiled it again it worked, now i could t find the highlight color to change it. I will post here, i highlighted the part where it should be but it doesnt change anything, if you have Kindle 4 PC app on your PC (duh!) when you highlight text its light yellow and this its value ffffff9b if I change it to ff666666 to gray nothing changes so, I will keep posting progress, I have little experience with java and android but started to learn it now, so lets keep researching, if you have any ideas post them here.Thanks. /res/values/color.xml Quote:

is your kindle app maybe accidentally set to sephia mode?
if not - have you tried changing sephia highlight too? maybe it's just a bug in kindle app |

In sepia and black background the highlight is visible but i wanted it to be visible on white background, it not very nice to read on such background especially if you do heavy reading.
Thanks |

what I meant to say is: maybe it's just a bug in white mode, e.g. highlight color is not taken from xml file but is hard coded, I don't know. If this is the case, you could alternatively change sephia background to white and sephia highlight to grey,
Also: try a darker grey for the highlight color -> maybe #ff666666 is just too light for the reader... (or too evil and #ff777777 will magically turn it into color eInk *scnr*) |
