I request the remote mind controlled verbose output of gcc! .

Ah, let me see, that is a rarely used option (gcc has so many) - - -
Code:
arm-linux-gnueabi-g++ --channel=NiLuJe --verbose ...
If I recall the gcc options correctly.

Regardless of my memory failure(s) - there probably are some (actual) options missing in the sample command line of the O.P.

Nah, it's '-fno-quiet-message-switch-auto-limit=2'.

(sorry, couldn't resist.)

@OP: When it does not run, it usually states the fact by presenting an error message of some kind. Please cite that. Then: did you run it? How so? SSH session via USB networking? Other means? What toolchain is this?

We have more than one member that lists living in the same city as the O.P - perhaps someone **could** go look over their shoulder.

@O.P. - -
The specific information that Hawhill requests above would be a good starting point for answering your question.

Note:
The gcc/g++ toolchains generally available are **not** built with the defaults set to match the i.MX6 as used in the Kindles.
Not even Freescale's toolchains.

So unless the O.P. built this toolchain their self ....
(Highly unlikely)
