Converting Java Rogue to Rogue for Kindle?
I'm sorry, this is probably pretty rude, but I thought I'd put it out there in case one of the uber-hackers on site were interested. I'm not a programmer (I'm lucky if I can keep my machine in-line), but I get the impression that Kindlet programming is almost the same as Java programming?
There is a cool online rogue (java): http://www.hexatron.com/rogue/ He's even released the source - though he doesn't say under what kind of licence: http://www.hexatron.com/more.html Considering it's open source in the first place ... would it be a difficult job? Would anyone here want to take it on? |

Hmm - yeah, I thought it might be wishful thinking. That java does look pretty old. Speaking of java 1.4. I just saw this:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/risk/ It uses 1.4. It is visually based, but not a fast game. |

You'd probably be better off simply compiling a command line based rogue/rogue-alike and running it through one of the various Kindle terminal solutions.
