Samsung Tab 4 or Tab S

Thinking about upgrading my Kobo Arc to a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 or Tab S 8.4. I know the Tab S has a gorgeous screen and faster processor and was wondering if text would look all that much sharper than the Tab 4 for reading books/magazines. And seeing that Netflix is capable up to 1080p, was wondering if the Tab S is really worth the $170+ dollar upgrade over the tab 4. Not into gaming, just magazines, neflix and web surfing. Looking at the Tab s in the store, its hard not to put it at the top of the want list but might be overkill for my needs. Thanks in advance
