Problems with Front Covers

Hi,

I have created a few front images that I wanted to use with my ebooks. They are in the MOBI format.

I have used Calibre to add the front cover which displays fine in the library.

However when I open the ebook on the PC the old front cover is displayed.

Any ideas how to get the new one to display?

In order to make the new cover "stick" to the book you need to do a "Mobi to Mobi" conversion. Also, if you're using Kindle for PC, the program caches the cover image, so if you've previously opened the book with the old cover, you'll need to delete it from the cache to see the new cover.

Thanks. Does the old cover get cached in Calibre? (thats my current ebook viewer).

No - Calibre will always show you the correct cover. As I said, after you've changed the cover in the Calibre metadata editor, convert the book from Mobi to Mobi. If you then open it, you should see the new cover.
