quick question referencing fixing a typo on an epub

HI.

I downloaded quite a bit of awesome free classic epubs from the Feedbooks site. On one of the Ebooks I noticed 2 spelling errors (typos not in the original).

I am not an ebook/ereader wizard, nor have I ever even converted an ebook from one format to another. I just want to ask the difficultly level of somehow fixing that Epub typo and keeping the format the same.

If it's a classic from Feedbooks, it's DRM-free, and therefore easy to fix.

An ePUB is just a zip file with some special files inside, and the main text is (X)HTML. So you can just unzip it, correct it, and zip again. If you correct only the text and do not deal with the HTML markup, the format will be maintained. To avoid possible problems, better replace the new corrected file inside the old zip, rather than create a new zip from scratch.
