Development where to find the update.zip of the beta?

I took a chance and updated.
Loving it. Loving the landscape reading mode and the new browser with flash 10.1
Loving the new email app.
Shame that the contact app now wants to connect to an exchange server. Hoped it would connect to gmail contacts but it cant.

One question though. if i ever. need to do a factory format. I would lose this update as I only have 1.6 golden image. Does anyone have a link to the update.zip of this latest and greatest beta?

Well just to let people know I have downloaded the update.zip files for golden, coyote, dingo and now ermine, so we have a copy of them, just in case.

if we want to put them on a public server, then just let me know.

The contact app does connect to gmail contacts. So does calender and email...
Instructions if needed: (doing by memory bear with me)
Delete your calender profile
Delete your Froyo email profile
Hit your calender icon and select Corporate
type in your gmail address and password and hit next
type in your gmail address, password again plus in the server field type: m.google.com
hit next and finish
This lit up my entire Android, gmail, calender and contacts

Gunner, update.zip is the name of the file the firmware looks for to do an update. What mrspaceman is saying is that he has an update.zip for golden, an update.zip for coyote and an update.zip for ermine.

mrspaceman, if you have somewhere that you can put them I would like copies please - if necessary let me know at ivanjt at free dot fr

The golden update returns the edge FROM emine to dingo.

any chance we could have an unofficial forum as we can have the lights going off here. also I would appreciate and update.zip location for ermine. I just purchased the pocket edge from amazon.com for less than 200 bucks and I am afraid the update will go off before I have time to do it. it will take 3-4 weeks before I get the unit in UK.

i really really want the offline update file because i am not able to register my EE, t3 support was not able to fix it, and actually they dont respond me any more now.
Anybody can steal the file from cache during downloading?

Based on Menu > Settings > Edge Settings > Default Device Preferences

The update.zip file is placed at /cache/update.zip

Entourage update url is
entourageshare.appspot.com
using port 443

so probably https://entourageshare.appspot.com

I would think that you can either grab the update from the /cache/ folder after its downloaded or you could possibly sniff the packets to get the download address. The update.zip is deleted after the update is complete, so you have a small window to grab the file.
