I don't see any official firmware for the astak ezreader from their site. The above ip appears to be in China, does anyone know if that is a legitimate firmware and if so, who put it out?

That's Jinke's official firmware. Jinke is the company that produces the HanLin V3, Astak is only a rebranding of Jinke's e-reader. And Jinke is a chinese company.

This is their official download page. Go to the part that reads "下载名称： V3升级程序V2.11", and, despite it being in chinese, you'll see that the description mentions the same three letters acronyms that keng2000 reported. Also, if you click on the blu link you'll see that the download link points to the same file that keng2000 linked.

So yes, it's official.
You may notice that in the english section of Jinke's website there isn't a link to this firmware, but it's not the first time that the english version of the site gets updated slower.

Keng, if you can upload this file somewhere else (Europe, USA), please do not hesitate. This Chinese server is incredibly slow.

Just be patient and it will download

. However, I have found it to be a step backwards compared to the latest Astak release for ePUB on the V3. It has the old huge fonts and older toc support. The PDF choice of xpdf is a nice edition however. Hopefully they can merge what they are doing into one release at some point.

Thanks for the info. I may wait for a better firmware.
But it did not download. It stopped after 12 hours, and does not restart.

Will this work with EZ Reader 6"?

I heard from other posted that there is a beta firmware that support Thai as a native. How is going on for this? Is there any link that I can go get the beta for testing. I want to read my Thai ebook in EZ Reader.
