I guess I should have added that most of the caring ones invested money in covers and editing before ever thinking about hitting the upload button. And I don't mean Fivver money.
The one thing they all have in common is they thought of books as a business. Yes, they can all write, but the mind set wasn't "I am a great writer." It was I am going to invest time and money in writing and publishing a book and hope to get a return." I could dang near write a book on what I learned from them about books. Though seriously, those guys are the big reason I haven't bothered with my cookbook. Not to mention it would cost a fortune to get it cleaned up and reformatted. |

Yes. It would be EXTREMELY expensive to do a cookbook. Unless it was just mimeographed and three-hole punched, the production expenses would quickly pile up.
