Any sad Crunchbangers here?
I've just read the announcement by corenominal at the #!-forum and am wondering if there are/have been any Crunchbang users here at MobileRead?

I always regret the loss of some "environmental" diversity, but it doesn't affect me personally. I run Ubuntu for fun and Windows when I have to.

Sounds like there is already some plans to keep Crunchbang alive, in what I think is a much better way anyway. As an Arch Linux user, I probably shouldn't be proclaiming my opinions but forking a distro doesn't sit right with me, when all that changes is configuration setup -- which seems to be the case here.
Well, it seems like Crunchbang will become debian with a metapackage, distributed as a remastered debian installer. So I guess the news isn't too terrible for most people. |
