I highly do not recommend reading this book or the others in the series. I find it appalling that Amazon has the other two eBooks in the series for $2.99 and the others including Smashwords are more expensive by about a dollar or more. Now if the author would make this the same price in all the various formats, that would be fine. But he's not. So please stay away.

Also, I downloaded the first book and found the formatting for the Mobipocket and ePub to be in serious need of fixing.

What's wrong with charging more for access to multiple, non-DRM'd formats? I have no problem with "the more limited-use version is cheaper."

Never mind the fact that the book is being given away for free so the entire issue of price is irrelevant.

Don't know what browser you are using, but suspect it might be Explorer and it hasn't been told about epubs. If so, what you will need to do is right click the SonyReader link on the webpage, then click "Save Target as..."

When the "Save as" Dialog box comes up, change the supplied file name so that it ends in epub instead of txt and the "Save as type" from the default of "Text Document" to "All Files" then click "Save"

Should download fine after that.

I'll try that-- I am actually on a mac, using safari and have been able to download other epubs before...

Yaay- success! I right clicked and saved it and when it asked if I wanted to append the .txt (it already said ".epub" as its extension), I said nope!
