I don't think they can blame the cost of the display on the pricing for these badboys:

Yeah, I actually considered buying one, as I was in the market for a wristwatch around the time these came out. But it is just huge. So I ended up with a smaller Timex, it's not e-ink, but it does have backlighting and 24 hour time marks.

I have huge hands for a woman, being 6ft tall it goes with the territory, but that watch is waaaay too big for me. I'd break it the first day when I smashed it against something hard.
