Question about Calibre library

Once you have books loaded into Calibre and have coverted some/all to another format you can see in one of the columns all of the formats that exist for a given title.
My question is can you select one or more books and delete a given format? Reason for this could for many reasons but I am curious.

Yes, you can remove a specified format if you wish, in fact you can remove all formats leaving just an empty entry.

I've done so when replacing an old gutenburg copy of a book with with a better mobileread copy.

For multiple books, select several books and right-click on the selection. One of the menu choices is "Remove Books". Then you have more choices, one of which is "Remove files of a selected format from selected books".

You can do this for a single book as well, or go into Edit Metadata, and in the top right corner, select a format and hit the "Remove the selected format from this book" icon (lower right icon of the four in that corner).

Select Titles (books): Right click: Remove books: <choices here. Some have another menu like the specific Format to remove>

Calibres Context Menu's are your handy friend. (you can also customize context Toolbars in Preferences Look and Feel)
