Yep... it does seem to be an e-book reader!

Cool looking! That's the sort of device you want to own even if it doesn't do anything you care about! ;-)

This article http://www.dapreview.net/comment.php?comment.news.3555 seems to indicate that it's basically a dictionary, and only for Asia. BUT it has FM radio and mp3 player, games and... ta da.... "e-book functionality!"

People probably won't generally think of it as an ebook reader, but that doesn't mean it can't do that function.

I wonder if the resolution and screen and supported formats are good enough to make it a winner for ebooks?

It seems very similar to my Zaurus SL-C760 - which means that the battery life will be similar to a laptop's. So for reading eBooks it's pretty much worthless.
