PRS-600 vs PRS-700 Photos - Page 2

There seem to be a good few books outside the bestseller lists that creep below US$10.

Thanks for the photos Wetdogeared and Daki! Now I keenly await my 600 more than ever. :-)

Odd question - is the cover the same size as the 700 cover? (or the 505 cover at that?)

The 600 has pretty much the same dimensions as the 505, just a tad thicker but not as thick as the 700. One person reported that his 505 cover fit the 600.

The Sony cover for my 700 more or less fits the 600. It's not a perfect fit. You can wedge the plastic tabs onto the reader but the plastic spine bows a little bit (600 is a tiny bit taller). The 600 is also a little narrower than the 700. so the covers extends further over. The M Edge cover for the 700 is also too large for the 600 (don't know if the 505 would fit or not).

I am using the M-edge 505 cover on my 600. It is a perfect fit - the only thing it covers is the "hand strap" area on the left bottom. I picked it up because M-edge was/is selling the 505 covers out at $14. I didn't realize it when I ordered, but the credit card pocket holds my Ipod classic perfectly for when I travel. So it's a double bonus.

Aren't you afraid that the iPod will press against your reader screen and break it? I'd also be afraid it would scratch my reader screen.
