Hi all - I'm Johannes, a Dutchman currently living in West Africa, but in a few months time moving to the US. Planning to buy an e-reader once there. Thanks to this forum I hope to be able to make the right choice by then!

Not made up my mind yet. Initialy I was thinking about the Kindle. Especially like the connectivity that comes with it free of charge and the choice of titles via Amazon. However, I also want to be able to read A4 size PDFs, so more recently I started considering the iLiad. But developments seem to go real fast, perhaps in a few months time there are more choices (the rollable displays likely to be introduced soon seem to open a whole new avenue).

No matter how long you wait, in 6, 8, 10 months there will most likely be something newer, better, cheaper. That is true with almost any tech.
