Iliad as wireless printer?

Is it possible to use the Iliad as a wireless printer?

I imagine that after printing to the Iliad the printouts appear in Docs with the date and time of the printout as a filename.

Is this possible?

TIA,

Erik.

Yes technically it is possible.

You would have to create a print driver for you OS. One that formats the printed media to the Iliad layout

And install a print driver on your Iliad to receive the content from your print driver.

Take a look at its a good place to start.

This would be an AWSOME project if designed correctly this can be modular enough for all eBooks

Ie I would start with making the drivers.
Print to Iliad Driver
Print to SONY
Print to Mobi

But then you could also just print-to-pdf and place the PDF to the iLiad. Of course this can be automated, so the PDF is directly synced the iLiad.

But agreed - would be nice, if iLiad would be recognised as a printer on a network...

I've already done this; have a look at this thread.

It's still a bit complicated to configure, but it works.

how did you configure the ps2pdf to print to the iliad layout. Did you modify it for the smaller page size?

Thanks in advance

No, it's unmodified. You have to configure the page size on your desktop.
