V 0.6.40 keeps searching my floppy

As said, I've installed today this version (I would love to keep it, 'cause I need the possibility of adding my .rar, without being me the one extracting) but it keep my floppy busy...
Can you fix this?
Thanks a lot...

PS: It happens when I plug my Sony

Windows version? This happened to me on 6.39
Try quitting Calibre (use the tool tray Icon. Right click and select Quit)

Now start Calibre. Is the problem gone? (it will happen 1 or 2 times, normally, then stop)

Glad you got it sorted out.
Did the re-start the solution? Kovid should be made aware of the issue and resolution if that did it.

You're welcome!!!! :-)
I have the same problem with version 6.37? I think it was that one... But I have to uninstall it... There was no way to solve the problem...
Not this time... Everything it's fine...
I have little problems when sending my files to my Sony (it gets strange characters, but I think there's a ticket already open)
Thanks, thanks to Calibre

If you don't regularly use the Floppy: Open the Device Manager and disable device (not delete). You can always enable it later.
