Calibre Portable!

The default home that Calibre sets is the users Home on windows...Can this be changed, to make it relative to its install folder so that I can install it on my Thumdrive?

I dont know - may be have calibre check for the config files in the current directory first and only then use the home directory / prompt for the home directory.

It would be nice feature to have...

There is a portable calibre already available though it is maintained by someone else.

Yes. Search the title you gave this thread, or look here.

Oooh, thank you! I keep forgetting to check portableapps when I'm at home, and it's blocked at work. I'd been hoping for a portable Calibre 'cos I move between several computers.

I think the portable Calibre is linux based?

The thread that was referenced gives the batch file I use to provide a portable Calibre that is Windows based. Note that Calibre on Windows requires a recent version of the Micriosoft MSVC DLL's. You may have to include those with the portable Calibre files if not already installed on the target machine.
