WSJ Race Heats Up to Supply E-Reader Screens
This is a wonderful article that explains a little of the history of the company that supplies E-ink screens to Sony and Amazon.
Prime View International Co. has overcome technological hurdles to dominate the burgeoning market for electronic-reader screens. Now this small company faces encroaching competitors and even-newer technologies.... The article then discusses new technologies which will be coming to E-Readers. It sounds like Nate is going to have a great time in Vegas for CES. Here is the link: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...881279184.html |

Interesting read and nice overview of how the competition between panel mfg's is heating up and will become more intense over the next few years, even is just basic greyscale panels. |

Often companies report losses early on as they write down physical plant, a portion if not all of the R&D and other ramp-up overhead expenses. These things are actually part of the business plan and never an indication of a struggling company, well almost never as long as it was all just planed for in that business plan.
