Reuse of Images

This was the response to removing images from the images section when removed through the text editor.

... user may want to remove the image from the current location and then include it in a different one.
Two questions:

1. If the image is deleted and not reused is it still contained in the final epub file? That would seem to be a waste of space. Should it be manually removed from the image section?

2. How does one reuse an image, e.g. Book Decorations? The way I have found is to copy the code from the initial use, save it in the clip manager, and then insert into the codeview as needed.

Depends on how big. Most epubs I have run under a Meg. I have 3 Gig free space on the SD card

That is the way I currently do it. I have a request ticket open to allow re-use. It was accepted for a future version.

Yes, it should be manually removed. Sigil won't remove it for you automatically: maybe your epub is a work in progress, and you've added images to it that you've yet to reference.

For now, just c/p the <img> tag from one place to the other. A WYSIWYG way will be added in the future.
