IQ 701 - files in system folder overwritten - shell has no executable permissions :(
Hi All,
I was trying to Update firmware to have market working, however I had already upgraded firmware to most recent one. And then I ended up with problems. Latter I tried fixing files manually using adb with root permissions and I ended up deleting files under system folder. I again restored files there - however now shell itself has no executable permission . Any idea how can I get things working again? Now when I try to boot my IQ 701 - it just cannot proceed as "shell" does not have executable permissions. Even Inserting external SD card with Updated firmware cannot help - as shell does not have executable permissions. Is there any solution for this? |

all I can think of is to go back to the original FW. Have you tried using factory reset?

unless I get shell working...
Hi,
What way can adb help in changing file permissions? "sh" (shell) itself does not have executable permissions. adb.exe shell - exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: Permission denied (13) - This is what I see. Also due to this reason my IQ just keeps looping in boot process. I tried inserting SD-Card with old, latest, repack firmware updates after this happened. But it appears that IQ 701 is not at all reading anything from external card now. |

Try connecting to your computer, loading 2.06 FW onto main memory.
