I voted for Lord of Scoundrels. I can't stand Gone with the Wind and I'm from the south. Sorry.
My mother makes me read and watch it every year with her. Last year since it was the 50th anniversary of the movie I had to read and watch "Scarlett," the continuation of Gone with the Wind also.
I should have voted for Dead Until Dark just because it's the runner-up so far.

Mills & Boon type romance is why most guys dislike romance. There's too much of it out there and too many libraries buy the eBooks.

I know I know, just jerking your chain a bit.

as I said above I've read a few "real" romances so wouldn't be adverse to it and the discussion might be particularly interesting.

But it's probably the reason why Jon dislike romance. Too much of it out there. Why, we could read Star Trek or Terry Pratchett instead

True. In the book, he simply said, "I'm not asking you to understand or forgive. I don't give a damn whether you do either, for I shall never understand or forgive myself for this idiocy." The movie shortened the line and added the phrase "Frankly, my dear."

I hope that doesn't count as a spoiler. Surely everyone's familiar with that Clark Gable line by now.

Er, that was not what I meant. The quote you give is from the beginning-ish of the book not the end where the film has "Frankly, my dear...". In the book the "Frankly, my dear..." quote is just a little bit different.

See, no extra spoilers.
