Spanish newspaper recipe

Hi,

I am new to Calibre and to e-books world. I have made a very simple recipe for a Spanish newspaper from Aragon, Heraldo. They only publish the headlines in the RSS file.

class AdvancedUserRecipe1264853387(BasicNewsRecipe):
title = u'Heraldo de Aragon'
oldest_article = 7
max_articles_per_feed = 100

feeds = [(u'Heraldo de Arag\xf3n', u'http://www.heraldo.es/index.php/mod.portadas/mem.rss')]

heraldo de aragon recipe

this is an excellent starting point for custom recipes! i'd reccomend that you look at the docs on the wiki http://bugs.calibre-ebook.com/wiki/RecipeTips

look at the version attached with some cleaning of your original suggestion and play with the code.

this source would be a good candidate for the html parsing as the RSS feeds does not contains many articles in the free content published in the different sections, however i think that subscribers will have an esier life by downloading the pdf!

You have luck since that feed publishes complete article text. Just add this to your recipe:

Code:
use_embedded_content  = True

Here is a wish list. The first four are big sites which may be wanted by many:

http://www.kamerabild.se/

theonlinephotographer.com

http://luminous-landscape.com/whatsnew/

http://www.bjp-online.com/index.html

---

These others are less important to me. But I would be grateful and show it, if anybody can help.

You mention in your blog that some articles are cutoff. What is the site in question. If it is the Swedish one I will need there your help since I do not understand the language.

OK, thanks.
The Swedish one occasionally has a "read further" link. It seems they label it "Läs mer", Swedish for "read more".
Example:
http://www.kamerabild.se/nyheter/pro...-1.248479.html

Luminous-Landscape might be more problematic, because he labels links after the title of the article:

"I have just published a brief essay titled The Apple iPad – What it Means for Photographers."

Or:
"I have now published his letter as an essay titled Thom Hogan Considers – What's Next For Leica?"

I don't know if the software has any means of picking up such articles...

... Wait, after investigation, it seems that Kamera/Bild uses the "Läs mer" link just for off-site links, so it's not an issue.

UPDATE:
I just remembered that The Online Photographer also has occasional "cut" articles. He seems to use "Continue reading" for those. ... But it seems you have picked up on that, given that the article about Henri Cartier-Bresson is whole on my Kindle, thanks.
