Every time I read the title of this thread I'm reminded of the mondegreen Maxell used in a tape ad years back:
Get up in the mornin, sleeping for bread sir. Sold out to every monk and beef-head. Oh-oh, me ears are alight. Why find my kids, they buck up and a-leave me. Darling cheesehead, I was yards to greasy. Oh-oh, me ears are alight. |

The first thing I do is call Norton an a****** for waking me up, then give him a lecture about how I need my sleep because I work nights and tell him he's being really inconsiderate. Then he licks my face and I give him a hug and call him a little s***.

I'm in the UK!!
It's a (very) old ad for audio cassette tapes that played on most people seemingly not being able to understand the lyrics to The Israelites. There was a chap with hand written cards for each line which he held up as the song was playing: |

Sorry - didn't mean to impugn your nationality - thought you might have slipped into "Oz-talk" whilst remaining in your native Surrey! [perhaps a rogue sink hole had opened]
Now I have the tune of "The Israelites" running through my head - and I don't know the words either! Better start memorizing your post! |

Thankfully, the tune is so awful, and sounds so generic-modern-pop it won't stick for me |

I think they should remove all snooze buttons from alarm clocks... They cause more trouble than they're worth!

Also, I don't make it too loud, so I don't get headache when the radio is triggered. Then....an understanding that if I ignore the alarm clock, I might loose the privilege to wake up at 06.20 5 times a week only and be forced to do it six or seven times per week and the days off might differ from my other half's... That would be a tragedy... |
