Haha. Unfortunately even when the players know its ludicrous its often what they have to do to get a call. Get a second official FIFA so calls can be more consistent and you might be able to remove a lot of this.
It will of course take time. you don't change decades of in-grained learning and coaching overnight. I'd say we need changes and at least three generations of footballers to clean it up. |

Thank you, they did a good job. Even the Brazilian fans applauded them. ( and there was a bad referee )

Yes, congratulation!
There are too many Luis Suarez jokes on the net that maybe it's already bad style to add another, but I really like this one: |

Thanks all for the congrats.
We should be able to win a Worldcup, as we have been in the semi-finals 10 times (and there are many big football countries who cannot say the same.....) And in the international teams there is many a football player foreign or Dutch who plays/ed in a Dutch team. Football is a good export product of our country. And several in this team are from great clubs as Bayern München and such. The coach Louis van Gaal is going to Manchester United next week. |

My prediction for the final: 3-3 in the end of regular time, no goal in extra time, and then Germany wins after a penalty shootout.

Netherlands have good players, but they rarely have a good team. They most of the time seem to fall out with each other for mysterious reasons at the most inconvenient timing. Another thing that is typical of the Dutch is that they provide amazing shows and sometimes goal fests and then the next game, they lose. Weird. Maybe psychological?
A fun fact about the Dutch is that they always lose against Portugal. I don't remember a game we lost to them. Just in the World Cup, final phase and qualifiers, we played 16 games, and won 7 and lost only 1, the rest being ties. I like to think we are their kryptonite . The Netherlands had a good team this time, as for the previous times this wasn't always the case; too big egos.
I think Germany will win with 1-0; they're such a good organised football machine ( we would have lost to them, like in 1974 anyway......I watched that game in Switzerland, together with a German woman called Schwester Brunhilde, somewhere in a dinghy room where we both were on call....). |

Yes. Well done to Germany. Over the course of the whole tournament I think that they were the best team and deserve the win. Really well taken goal to win it as well.
