It sounds like you are still having problems. The normal behaviour for the Cybook is to start with the last book read already selected for you. All you should need to do it click 'select' to open it to the last page read.

But not always when you have plugged it in to the computer. After I remove a book in a series it is extremely annoying that the library view is on the first book when I was going to read the next book in the series.
