Intended behavior??? I've had a Kindle for over a year and been e-mailing my files and it has always worked fine until now. UGH!!!

I've just logged a complain with Amazon describing the issue as the Amazon personal delivery service not pulling the correct title and author metadata from the MOBI file e-mailed, and instead displaying the filename as the title and the email address (from which the document was sent) as the author. They said they would have a response for me within 48 hours.

I would recommend others do the same, please!!!

Agreed. We need everyone to do this. Flood Amazon with this complaint and get the Email service to work as it has, not the new way. If enough people complain they may just fix it back to the old way.

This problem is now solved. Thanks to all who have voiced complains to Amazon, it was fixed as of this morning. Enjoy!

Fixed here too!

Thanks to everyone for pushing Amazon to sort this out. This is the first time I've had any real issue with the Kindle service and I'm glad Amazon have put it right.

It's unclear whether the wrong behaviour was intentional or an innocent mistake - just really glad they put it back the way it was.
