The windows version will automatically convert ePUB to mobi format for download to the device.

It doesn't work with drm'ed epub files... really frustrating. I tried stripping the DRM but that messes up the formatting. Are there other alternatives?

Removing Adobe DRM from ePubs does not change the formattting, it just removes the encryption to give the original ePub. However, Windows MobiPocket Reader does not always do a good job converting ePub to MOBI. An alternative is to use Calibre (has its own forum here) to do the conversion. This produces about the best possible MOBI from the ePub, and also has customization options. It can also output other ebook types, like eReader, that might be readable on your PPC.

Ok, I will try that thank you. Of course 2 days after I bought the book in epub, Fictionwise finally has it available in .prc

Hi,

I have just released a program that might do what you need. It reads txt, html and DRM-free ePub, on Windows Mobile (5 and 6). See: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61539

Cheers,

Jim
