Yea, that's why I like the K1, because it still has a memory slot.

That would be perfectly fine with me. I would pay the S3 storage rates if they could integrate it with the kindle. Actually, I keep meaning to get jungledisk/s3 set up to back up my documents and data to the "cloud" but keep putting it off.

1. I've been doing a lot of testing in Calibre converting over thousands of ebooks I've saved up over the years... LIT, PDF, etc. But I always read them on my computer before.

2. Whats a factor of 1024 between friends?

Which Frommer's?
http://www.amazon.com/Frommers-City-...6339927&sr=8-1

As they put it in the foreword: 8.5 lbs if printed and over $200. Yours on the Kindle for $40. I travel a bit and half the cities are places I get to with the other half being places I plan on getting to.

Part of the bloat on my Kindle 2 is buying big tomes like this. I also use my Kindle as a work tool as I find the clipping/annotation tools very useful. So I buy many technical books out of Amazon's extensive technical collection.

Incidentally, they have 10 times as many hard science books as they do science fiction books.

I put all those titles on my Kindle 2 to see how it would perform. It didn't perform too well. Indexing took days and days. Searching all that content is very sluggish. I deleted most of the content and have about 50 items currently loaded.

With my Kindle 1 I have my library on different SD cards in lieu of folders. As long as I have access to my PC (or my server) I have access to my entire library on the K2.

I STILL WANT FOLDERS!
