Adobe epub or Adobe Digital Edition?
I've been looking through the books at www.booksonboard.com and noticed some are offered in both adobe epub and adobe digital edition. Is one better than the other for the Pocket Pro? The epub is a much smaller file (0.3MB vs. 1.2MB). Would there be any other differences in the book? Thanks!

The ADE edition probably includes the book cover graphics and is more than just text, hence the larger size. I believe, you have to transfer ADE ebooks to your reader using the ADE software? (Maybe someone could clarify this.)

At Books on Board, and some other sites, Adobe Digital Editions means PDF with Adobe DRM. Adobe ePub means ePub with Adobe DRM.

If you have a choice, get the ePub. Reflowing PDFs can introduce artifacts, although the ebook is usually still readable. Since ePub is an intrinsically reflowable format it works better on a small screen.

No, Adobe makes two PDF readers, one for books and one for documents. Adobe Reader is the one for business documents which ADE is intended for reading eBooks. It supports PDF and ePUB. This is all in our wiki by the way.

Strange enough, in some instances I've found 2 versions of ePUB at Books on Board for the very same book, with different sizes. Any idea, what's this?

It the size difference is large it usually means illustrations have been added. If small it is like a revision or a different source for the book.

One other important fact to note is that pdf and epub specify a format for the book. ADE is a tool for downloading and reading both of those formats.

It happens to be developed by Adobe who's business it is to "advocate" a format they created.

Might be that multiple editions (say, UK and US "printings") have worldwide sales rights, and you are seeing both for sale. I've even multiple listings for the same book and format with different prices and covers.
