Introducing the Cybook Orizon
I didn't get to spend any time using it, but I did get some pictures. |

As an aside, if you can get hold of a working SiPix screen it would be great to know if their contrast is in the ball park of Vizplex. It certainly seems that several companies are betting that they are good enough. |

Could also be a rebranded Jinke A6t or even another boox clone...or do you guess that Bookeen created a completely new hardware design?

And how many MR users will fall for this new device thinking that Bookeen might actually support it?

Hmm interesting.
Capacitive touch screen ... so either it's a new Netronix model, or Bookeen has found themselves a new hardware supplier, as Netronix currently only makes resistive touch models (or so I am led to believe). From this video of the Orizon: http://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DyGImN2ggt0c ... the advantage of an under-the-eink touch screen can be seen ... Vastly Reduced Glare. Damn you Bookeen! Trying to tempt me into buying another one of your products. |

Jon, your where the one trolling there, not Harry....
I hope the Orizon is the the salon du livre in march, so I can have fun with it a bit. Ah, from the video, it seam the accelerometer works with 180, unlike the opus. Last edited by EowynCarter; 01-09-2010 at 09:39 AM. |

I was hoping for a large screen. I guess they decided to just upgrade Cybook to Gen4.
