"David Copperfield", by Charles Dickens, with 38 original illustrations by "Phiz".

Synopsis from Amazon:

This is the novel Dickens regarded as his 'favourite child' and is considered his most autobiographical. As David recounts his experience from childhood to the discovery of his vocation as a successful novelist, Dickens draws openly and revealingly on his own life. Among the gloriously vivid cast of characters are Rosa Dartle, Dora, Steerforth, and the 'umble Uriah Heep, along with Mr Micawber, a portrait of Dickens's own father which evokes the mixture of love, nostalgia and guilt.

As well as adding the illustrations to the PG text, I've spent a great deal of time with this book, going through it and restoring the formatting to that of a printed version (the "Oxford Illustrated Dickens" version). The results are, I think, quite pleasing.

Thoroughly proof-read against the "Oxford Illustrated Dickens". Many hundreds of errors corrected - textual errors, incorrect paragraph breaks, missing italics and accents, etc. The book is now in a pretty good state. Uploaded v5.

Harry, I tried this several times but alas it doesn't work. I attach the error text I receive from Calibre. The same error occurs with The Old Curiosity Shop by the way.

I guess you would want to know something like this.

I am perfectly able to view the books in the lrf viewer in Calibre, where both books look stunning.

Nothing to do with me, I'm afraid! I don't think there's anything wrong with the book - it's been downloaded several hundred times, and nobody's ever complained about it. I'd suggest that you contact Kovid, the author of Calibre.

Harry, sincere excuses if I offended you. I never meant to do that. I was just surprised that only these 2 books did not make it to the reader via Calibre. The reason I attached the CalibreError.txt was to see if that meant something to you or if anyone else had told you about a similar problem. Calibre goes thru a lot of changes.
Thinking all of this over, I decided to download the 2 books again and now they did get transferred correctly.
Many thanks once again, they are beautiful books.
