Preventing "orphan" right smartquotes?
Is there a way to prevent the right hand side smart quote mark from ending up alone and orphaned on the next line?

So for example:

"Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your ears.
"
could be forced to:

"Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your
ears."

(This problem tends to come up for me on the iPhone a lot, because of the relatively short line lengths displayed)

This is a bug in your ePub rendering software. No renderer should consider a quote as a valid place at which to break a line.

I wouldn't have thought Stanza to have such a basic problem, but I've never used it. Do you know how the smartquotes are generated? E.g., if you extract the (X)HTML source from the ePub, are the quotes made with HTML commands like “ and ”, or directly with UNICODE (or other character encoding) characters, or ...?

frabjous, it looks like Unicode, not ”

<p>“blah blah blah blah something?”</p> shows up as

“blah blah blah blah something?
”

I think its part of how Stanza is overriding all CSS, etc. with their custom margin/font size settings..they just leave stuff hanging at times.
