Sony Reader Commercial during the Emmy's

Did anyone else notice the Sony Reader commercial during the Emmy's? It was one of the series of Sony spots with Justin Timberlake and Payton Manning. The reader showns was the PRS-300, with the $199 price.

I heard about it but didn't see it.

Sony has really come out swinging.

I'll say! Sony needs to put itself in the public eye more. Amazon has been hogging all the press.

I saw during it the CSI season premier. I'm assuming it's the first in a seriesfeaturing the same talent because Peyton Manning didn't get to speak (he does really funny commercials) and they didn't really use the power of Justin Temberlake (he should bring the major cool factor). The speed reading guy was weak.

Stupid, amateurish commercial. I know we're not supposed to take it seriously but there is no way speed readers would choose an e-ink device in the first place. The page refresh speeds are just tooooo sloooow.

I guess for me, the point really wasn't about the production/style/quality/etc. of the piece, but the fact that it exists!! Now, I didn't know who any of those people were (not into pop culture), but the fact that a well known company was talking about a device that the general public doesn't have a clue about was enough. I hope it sparked interest......"hey, Marge....ya see that thing? What they say it was? Go Google it & see what comes up...you're better at that computer stuff & get me a fresh coldie while you're lookin'."
