We have two SF slots within two months of each other. I would suggest swapping the November and May slots so we have SF in May and Classics in Nov.

Why would you have Romance in December when the other 'theme months' are in their "right" months (April-Humor, Oct-Horror)?

Whatever category we have for December, it would be nice if it were "open" to "Christmassy" books, even if not exclusively for such.

The problem is Christmasy type books are not secular enough.

You can celebrate the "spirit" of Christmas regardless of your personal religious beliefs, Jon. I am not a Christian, but I still celebrate it.

You really want a mystery for February I guess
Doesn't matter one way or the other to me. Why "(uploaded to MR)" though?

There is still the problem that there are two "SF" entries only two months apart - in Nov and Jan. I really would suggest swapping the Jan one for the May "Classics".

Presuming the schedule stays the same for 2011 then yes, May or July would probably be better for the second one.

Possibly-irrelevant tangent: I'm a bit blurry on the definition of "classics." Does that mean any book in the public domain, or books commonly assigned to students to read?

I've seen it defined many ways... Any PD book Any PD book that's popular enough to still be in print Any book at least 40-50 years old that's popular enough to still be in print

I like the idea of "classic" being "any PD book that's popular enough to still be in print."
