Isn't it though? Amazing to see that the only "Bestseller" on there is the Twilight series. And to find "The complete Idiots guide to sex" the third most downloaded book makes you seriously wonder about the state of humanity.

But then, you just have to go into Smashwords and look at the top 100 there.... 90% or so is "Erotic novels"

Forgive me for asking, but how do you know that these books are "Pirated"? There are innumerable public domain versions of the "Kama Sutra".

Perhaps we should take the list as a good sign that people who are reading ebooks are buying them not pirating them. Good argument for reducing DRM restrictions?

Though I must admit I am surprised that Harry Potter is not on the list.

Did they examine one torrent site and make this rather odd list? Or is this representative for all ebook traffic on bittorrent everywhere? (I sincerely doubt it)

What of the other illicit channels, like newsgroups (alt.binaries.ebooks and related), and other p2p software/protocols?
