MobileRead Meetup in Melbourne, Australia Sat. 13 June!

Almost exactly a year after the very first MobileRead Meetup in Paris, France we are very excited to announce that the phenomenon has spread all the way to the antipodes, with the very first Australian Meetup!

Now, we know Australia is a huge country / island / continent, but if you're anywhere within its borders, we think you owe it to yourself to get yourself to Melbourne on Saturday June 13th for this unprecedented event of down-under litterary geekitude! We only wish it weren't so far away, because we wish we could be there too.

Here are all the details :
When : on Sat June 13th, 11am
Where : Koko Black at 52 Collins St in the CBD.

I'm willing to attend a Sydney meeting. (After I get back from the Melbourne Meeting) How many of us Sydneysiders are there on Mobileread?

laine, a sydney meetup sounds like a great idea ! why not start a new meetup thread in the lounge to discuss it ?

I third this proposal -- hey, it's worth a try!

Anyway, the Edinburgh Book Festival Programme is out this week and I think a trip to Melbourne would give us useful tips to help in planning an Edinburgh Meet-up.

As our Melbourne meetup is in less than 15 hours, its too late for anyone to fly from Europe now, sorry! You would have been very welcome.

Laine, I travel to Sydney now and then - I might be able to make it to a meetup there, too...
