Little advice for a newbie

Hi there!

Finaly i managed to buy one of this readers. So i have a few questions.

What format of ebooks is "the best" for reading on HanLin v3?
I found something about FB2. Is that it?
What program to use to convert different formats?

And one more thing...Should i install latest firmware? where to get one?

FB2 and RTF are generally considered to be the best formats for the V3, since their viewer has the most options regarding font size et cetera.
A good program to convert to FB2 is Bookdesigner.

If you're buying books from an online store, Mobipocket is the way to go, since it's the only DRMed format supported by the V3.

It certainly won't be a bad idea to install the latest firmware. Hanlin firmware can be found here, BeBook firmware is available for download here, lBook-firmware you'll find at this site, and the EZ-Reader updates can be found here.
They're all compatible with the HanLin v3, so you could try them all out and use the version you like the most.

Also, there's an independent open-source firmware called OpenInkpot which you might want to check out.

Have fun reading!
