Price for Kindle 1.0

There is a Kindle 1.0 NIB, never opened, not registered on Craig's list for $300.
My thought is that this is a bit high since for another $60 I could get a Kindle 2.
They purchased in September and never opened box. I don't know how that affects warranty with Amazon or whether that is tied to purchase date.
I would appreciate some feedback whether this is fair price or what range for used equipment.
Thanks

Sound high to me, especially since the warranty is half gone. The warranty if from the purchase date and is transferable (I believe...).

they seem to be going for between $225 and $250.

I wouldn't pay more, and got mine for less.

You can always try offering $200 (thats what I got mine for, but it was used for a year.......still in primo condition, tho)
and going from there.

It couldn't hurt.

You can buy them in good used condition on Amazon for $250 -$275. There are also several good ones on ebay around that price.
