Benjamin Franklin Norris, Jr. (March 5, 1870 – October 25, 1902) was an American novelist, during the Progressive Era, writing predominantly in the naturalist genre. His notable works include McTeague (1899), The Octopus: A Story of California (1901), and The Pit (1903).

The Surrender of Santiago, a thrilling account of an historic event, was graphically set down by the late Frank Morris, and first published by Otis F. Wood, in the Sun, New York, through whose courtesy it is now reprinted in booklet form. Issued by Paul Elder & Company at their Tomoye Press, under the direction of Ricardo J. Orozco, in May, nineteen seventeen.
