Nook HD and Mac

I have been using Calibre with my Nook Color for years and no problems. I just bought a Nook HD, and Calibre does not recognize it. I am using a Mac running OSX 10.8.4

Will Calibre recognize it? Are there any workarounds?

Thanks.

I use Calibre Companion, described in the section of the FAQ directly below the gray box Kovid referred you to.
