Touch Home Reading page old info

Hi, I have a Touch (FW 2.4.0) and when I power it up the Home "Reading" page shows the covers (5) of old books initially, then flashes a few seconds later with my current "Reading" covers. Is this normal? It has been doing this for awhile now and I initially thought it might be fixed when I upgraded the firmware to 2.4.0, but it still happens. Not a "real" problem, just bugs me and slows down the startup. (Sorry if this has been covered before, I did a search but couldn't find anything)

If you have a microSD card in, that's probably the culprit - for me, it shows books stored on the device itself (only three titles) first, then a second or two later, it updates to include stuff on my card.

I have the same behaviour on my Touch, I guess its normal.

EDIT: Works just like JD Gumby described, however in my case I don't have any books on the Touch's internal memory, as such it gives me the "add books" nag/ad page during a cold boot.
