Last I looked it is not in debug_cmds.json. Wasn't in 5.3.1, have not looked in 5.3.3 will do later. Also it is not findable with grep - looked too on 5.3.1. So maybe in java somewhere.

Small hint: doesn't the Touch now have the same command? Maybe if you find it there you can find it in same spot in PW. (I am out of ideas though)

Yeah I checked it on the touch just couldn't check on my non-existent paperwhite.

Really holding the job up actually. I may ask the others about putting up a donation link so I can provide support for the 4's and the PW's eventually.

Glad we decided to break them out.
May bundle all the gpg stuff into one huge zip containing two sub-archives and be done with it One for RELEASE verifications one for PREREQUISITE verifications.

Would simplify the prerequisites bundle A LOT.

Also thinking of repackaging the pairs of prerequisites into folders called "I HAVE A KINDLE X SERIAL XXX" inside the bundle folder.

Will look to script that when I repack the sigs, asc, gpg's once and for all.

Since you asked for feedback. The .sig files for the signature works just fine. To get a fully green result I did certify your public key in my keyring. So now you are trusted. The .gpg files you bundled into it suffer from the same thing they had in the previous verions of KUAL - gpg claims they are encrypted something, but they cannot be decrypted with your public key (no data). Only those 2 .sig files are needed to verify that both .azw files are made by you (or rather approved by you). Since the signatures are not very big, rebundling them, and only them as .asc would be nicer than .sig. Only difference between sig and asc is binary file (.sig) versus ascii text file (.asc).

Already handled by the verify command - -
"when given the name of a signature file, looks for the same named file without the {.sig, .asc} extension ... "
So unless your release and your prerequisite archives have the same name ....

you can use newest verison on this link : just copy the kindlepdfviewer into Kindle.
the problem with this versions is that there is no way to exit from the app. (other than ssh commands or a hard reset of course)

Actually it is fixed on the source but you need to compile it.

The start/stop USB networking button functions do have a progress indicator of sorts - -
At least on the Kpw.

When starting/stopping USB networking **without** the usb cable connected (the author's recommended way) - - -

Watch the charge icon -
It will switch to "external power" and then return to the "internal power" icon when the start-up or shut-down of USB network is completed.

True. It does that on them all. (lightning = on, battery = off IIRC)

Also if you have the volumd settings just right and leave a cable connected the huge, but harmless to ssh, eips error message is also a clue hehehe.

Okay so... Update 1.0 on the Kindle 3's fbgnuboy support...

As promised an updated script system and now some bundled roms.

Just a few for now while we get everything straight.

Highlights of the changes follow:


6 Games (with shortcuts):

• demo: Destroy matching shape groups
• deep: bomb the subs
• cd: top-down ascii attack game
• flip: make them all match
• ktris: a simple not-too-buggy falling block game.

Tech:

• enigma: enigma machine simulator
• fire: you guessed it. some simple lo-res fire.

No time yet to analyse all the package on offer on Eink but there are more to be added in a future bundle update, however the "early preview" package released here should give a better feel of the new interface.

FWIW, if you want verbose feedback on the USBNetwork front, you're welcome to force-enable the 'verbose' setting in the helper: touch /mnt/us/usbnet/verbose. That'll throw a bunch of eips prints at various points of the process .
