I've talked to them on the phone about it a few times, but without effect. I've also been promised at least three callbacks, and have received none of them.

Nice to see them living up to their usual standards.

If I get time after work I'll give them a call (I have emailed them about it) to add one more voice to the list, not that it's likely to do any good.

They are nothing if not consistent.

I personally think they should have just let FW run everything and folded Nook into their existing infrastructure. I think that would have worked much better.

No kidding! While I wasn't 100% thrilled at how the eReader transfer to Fictionwise went down, it certainly went a lot better than the B&N buyout.

It's so exhausting watching B&M book companies piss away talent and profits (Borders and Waldenbooks, Borders and the Amazon storefront, B&N and the FW mess).

Please note that January 31, 2013 was the last day for U.S. and International customers to access Fictionwise Bookshelves and accounts. For those who have opted in to have their titles transfer to BN.com, the transfer has begun and the process will be on-going in the coming weeks.

Could they possibly have someone doing every account manually?

Still no Fictionwise books in my nook.co.uk account.

Huh. Sounds insane, but I wonder. There were indications earlier in the thread that calling in and complaining could get you moved up in the line. Whatever happened behind the scenes might well be an interesting story. Shame the pioneers of ebooks were so easily forgotten by the press, so no one likely to get the story ever will.

Nothing on my account either.

I thought the thread title needed updating, so I've done so.

Fictionwise closed its metaphorical doors on 31st January 2013.

Lovely, Brian. And I'd be happy to see the thread locked on such a fitting post.

(Including deleting this post of mine.)

There is still a transition in process that could take weeks. I'd be happy to see the thread continue until we see what happens.
