Collection. "Stories" means more than one. If it were a single story, the category would be Short Story.

I'm dissapointed that I didn't get a collection of short stories on my reading list this year after having been through a few good ones last year.

There's always time to make some alterations to the reading list.

I think that's a third. I seconded it just four posts earlier.

No takers for 1987 to 2002. Just look at some of the titles first published in that period:

1987 Murakami, Haruki - Norwegian Wood
1989 Tan, Amy - The Joy Luck Club
1991 Jin, Ha - Waiting
1992 Morgan, Bernice - Random Passage
1995 Hornby, Nick - High Fidelity
1996 Doyle, Roddy - The Woman Who Walked Into Doors
1999 Jhumpa, Lahiri - Interpreter of Maladies
2000 Galloway, Steven - Finnie Walsh
2001 Diaz, Junot - The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao

We have 7 fully nominated categories. Time for the vote.

And since we should have stopped at 7, 8 and above don't count.

I think the 7 fully nominated categories was a typo (like last month) and it should be 21 fully nominated categories to match previous months. I think we need some clarification on this.

That should have read "21". The first post has now been edited. I need to edit the template to make sure that doesn't happen again.

And to help get to 21 and a vote, I'll third Sci-Fi/Fantasy.

Although I tend to agree with the person that said that any horror novel could pretty much fit under a classification of fantasy, I'll nominate Horror again.

Just to see if we can squeeze yet another category into the vote.

1. I have a question for Sun Surfer: Does your Modern Lit nomination come with any requirements, restrictions, or specific definitions? In other words, what constitutes Modern Literature as far as your nomination?

2. I nominate Free-For-All

Most (I've not read them all) Stephen King books would not fit under fantasy. There are a lot that don't fit.
