Question vBulletin [video] tag implementation?
Unfortunately, 60% of the most popular Youtube videos cannot be watched in Germany due to some legal wrangling.
Would it be possible to either implement the generic vBulletin [video] tag or [vimeo] or [dailymotion] tags?
AFAIK, ready-made vBulletin solutions already exist for both sites.

Thanks, Doitsu, for bringing up this problem. What I don't understand is how changing a tag would change the legality (and availability) of some videos. Will it link then to the same youtube videos or to some other sites? Could you please explain the background a little bit?

Since neither Vimeo nor Dailymotion have any Geo-restrictions and many top 1000 Youtube videos are also available on these two sites, it'd enable German users to embed links for these two sites instead of Youtube links.

Ah. Then I understand how it's meant. Thanks.

But it's only for us German or European users? Posters from the US would - if this option was implemented - still use the youtube links as they can't know if any video is regionally restricted in Europe?
