ls -al /etc/uks/*.pem <-- YOU MEAN THIS?

/mnt/mmc/ is a VIRTUAL TEMPORARY location that REALLY points to / when you are in "normal mode"

So either it isn't there, OR
The storage of that file system is not mounted.

If you are now in "diags" mode - having nothing mounted on /mnt/mmc is expected.

Without doing anything else, now try the 'mount' command that gave you an error before,
post result.

I wanted to learn if he was in diags or in main - -
But that would do the same (look for what should be rather than what shouldn't be).

I reboot the computer.. kindle is not recognized for my pc.. I install the drivers.. This is.

@sahara1974: What makes you think that the "jailbreak is not installed"? As twobob said, the file either is there, or it isn't. If you successfully copied the file, then the jailbreak is "installed".

@skull43: Try with Linux (+ see first post).

Hey, guys. And again, I'm here. "jailbreak would not installed" - I mean, after all the action in the instructions I can not install hacks.
I copied the file pubdevkey01.pem to the root directory (point 1). Then point 2. Next I am acting according to instructions. I work in the CMD (point 3-5). After rebooting the Kindle goes into diags mode. Then point 6. Then I connect SSH (point 7-8). The terminal putti writing code (point 9). But no result.
I hope I have clearly explained. My English is not perfect))))

I wonder how tough it would be to make a custom diags image that has menu options like "Reset to defaults" "Jailbreak" and "SSH". It'd be like CWM Recovery for android

Forgive me for asking but I have already searched everywhere but could not find an answer. I'm a few steps away from Jailbreaking my Kindle Touch 5.3.2 but I'm stuck here:

Configure the computer's USB network interface to use the static IP address 192.168.15.201

How do you configure a computer's USB network interface? I've tried looking online but to no avail. By the way, I'm on a Mac with 10.7 as the OS.

Please help?
